![]() The state’s investigation revealed that Spyropoulos resented the extent to which the uncle controlled and profited from the two family-owned diners. ![]() In early 2013, Spyropoulos attempted to hire a hit man to kill his uncle by marriage, Alexandro Sgourdos, who manages the Tick Tock Diner in Manhattan, New York, and is co-owner of that diner, as well as the diner on Route 3 in Clifton. Detectives from the New Jersey State Police Violent & Organized Crime North Bureau arrested Spyropoulos on April 9, 2013. The investigation was led by State Police Detective Sergeant Peter Layng of the Drug Trafficking North Unit. He further admitted that he asked the hit man, who turned out to be an undercover detective for the New Jersey State Police, to threaten the uncle first in order to obtain information that Spyropoulos intended to use to rob his uncle of a large sum of money he believed his uncle possessed. And what Mick Jagger doesn’t want, clearly, is Taylor ham, egg and cheese at a diner, as delicious as it may be.In pleading guilty, Spyropoulos admitted that he hired a hit man to kill his uncle. Hmmm … Keep in mind, too, that no one actually spotted Jagger or anyone else associated with the band at the diner, though quotes a Tick Tock waitress who thinks she may have served Jagger, though the guy “didn’t really show his face,” she said. Hmmm … He has reportedly tried the Keto diet - a highfat, very low-carb regime that followers say helps drive down their body fat levels. To quote from a recent article about him, “Sir Mick maintains his 28-inch waist with a diet consisting primarily of fresh fruit and veg, whole grains, legumes, chicken and fish. Keep in mind, too, that Jagger is a health food fanatic, and recently had heart surgery. And he has been saying similar things in other cities. (You can hear it for yourself at the 4:52 mark of the second video below). When the band performed in Philadelphia, on July 23, he made a similar comment, about getting a hoagie at Wawa, at the exact same point in the show: after “Honky Tonk Women” and before the band introductions.
